Cheer's to 2009

The past year has been full of many changes. We rang in 2008 like the years before with our first kiss and resolutions to improve our health- little did we know that in just a few short weeks our lives would lead us across the country! Shane left for Nashville and flew on an airplane for the first time- I left my job with one of my best friends to pack up our apartment with the help of our friends and family. Shane and our best friend Nick drove the moving truck with Cooper in tow, on a 3 day journey that would have them jack-knifed and side swiped. I flew with Zoe and was taken to our new home. After a long start, I decided to go back to school to finish my Bachelors Degree. Shane has had many amazing experiences such as, going to Miami, working with amazing producers and song writers and really making a name for himself in a big and lasting way. With Desmond Child by his side, Shane is sure to go places and have a wonderful future in the music industry.
Being so far away from our friends and family has been an emotional roller coaster. We've gotten closer than ever before. We've missed birthdays and reunions but have been fortunate enough to make it home twice already. After we got engaged on August 7th, we felt like thats all we needed- we were connected and committed no matter what. Coming home for our engagement party was icing on the cake and made it more real that we were getting married and starting our lives together! We were so happy to get our families together and even more excited that everyone blended so great- not to mention the matching of Jodi and Joanne's outfits!
We want to thank you all for your love and support this past year- we truly couldn't have made it this far with out you! We love you and can't wait to get everyone back together for our Big Day!
